War photography

World war 2 photography
Photography for war started in World war 2 with Robert Cappa and Tony Vaccaro.
Cappa was considered the best photographer of war catching some of the most horiffic pictures of war and amazed and shocked people how he risked his on life to get these pictures he even was with allied forces as they landed in Normandy on D-day these pictures are some of the most iconic pictures of the second world war and truly showed how these soilders fought for there country and as well as theirs lifes.

Vaccaro also was well known for his pictures of world war 2 but the difference between him and cappa was that Vaccaro was a soilder meaning he could much closer to the frontline than cappa he even got some pictures that were deemed not ready for public viewing and were censored y the goveremnt.

This photo shocked people and gave an idea of the horror that was happening in vietnam, It also made the american troops look bad.

Photo journalism part one!

Henri Cartier-Bresson
Was the first photographer to take advantage of a new camera technology, The camera was called "Leica camera" made in 1925 it changed photography forever. Bresson was consider the "Godfather" of photo journalism because of the quality and style of his photos.

This photo is considered one of the greatest photo of the 20th century
Bresson was a master at catching the decisive moment in his photography this is what made him famous, But getting these great photo's meant waiting at one place for hours just to get the exact picture he wanted. Bresson got huge recogonition for his photography at Ghandi's funeral.

Leica Camera
Made in 1925 was the first instant camera catching photo in a flash of second this was revoultion to most cameras at the time.


Decisive moment
This is the exact second you capture a movement such as somebody jumping the decisive moment is when the person is in the air a second later or earlier the picture could be comepletly different and wouldn't be the picture you wanted.
