World war 2 photography
Photography for war started in World war 2 with Robert Cappa and Tony Vaccaro.
Cappa was considered the best photographer of war catching some of the most horiffic pictures of war and amazed and shocked people how he risked his on life to get these pictures he even was with allied forces as they landed in Normandy on D-day these pictures are some of the most iconic pictures of the second world war and truly showed how these soilders fought for there country and as well as theirs lifes.
Vaccaro also was well known for his pictures of world war 2 but the difference between him and cappa was that Vaccaro was a soilder meaning he could much closer to the frontline than cappa he even got some pictures that were deemed not ready for public viewing and were censored y the goveremnt.

This photo shocked people and gave an idea of the horror that was happening in vietnam, It also made the american troops look bad.
This is good Jamie but can you discuss more about the impact that these images had. i.e I know you mention that the made the troops look bad but the example we looked at last week with the execution changed perceptions of the war back home in America
